Today (May 19th) is the last day of Bala Vihar for 2023 – 24 … Parents, as we break for Summer, please make sure you complete your child’s/children’s registration and BV enrollment for next year so your spot(s) in your center and session of choice is(are) are guaranteed when you return from summer break. Next Bala Vihar year begins on the weekend of Aug 10 (Saturday)/Aug 11 (Sunday).
As a gentle reminder, the Global Head of the Chinmaya Mission, Swami Swaroopananda ji will be visiting us, Aug 22-26. Please mark your calendar and details will follow.
GeetaFest 2024 / Geeta Chanting Competition:
Texas State Final – held at Chinmaya Saaket, yesterday 5/18. Children from CM Centers Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Beaumont, and Jackson, MS, and CMDFW were in attendance. We’d like to recognize all the participants. Also, we’d like to convey our best wishes to all those moving on to the Nationals! [awaiting details from GCC Coord, Kalpana Raman]

- A 4-session course based on Hindu wisdom offers guidance for couples from conception to birth and beyond to promote well-being, joy, and spiritual vitality for both parents and the baby.

Seeking Kitchen Sevaks for the Summer Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) at Chinmaya-Mangalam:
- YEP program dates are June 10 – Jul 19 at Chinmaya Mangalam 10470 FM744, Barry, TX 75102.
- We are seeking enthusiastic sevaks to help us with cooking at Chinmaya Mangalam and/ or shopping & transporting ingredients to the ashram

Year-End Guru DakshiNa (2023 – 24):
As we come to the end of another BV year, some people have asked how they can offer/honor our traditional end-of-the-year guru dakshiNa to the lineage of gurus (guru parampara).
Parents/Chinmaya families can make their guru dakshiNa donation multiple ways:
- Via Paypal (under the Orange DONATE button on our website, cmdfw.org).
- via credit card (square reader device), Zelle or Venmo:
