Bala Vihar 2026–27 — Announcements, Week of 9th August

Welcome and welcome back! The Bala Vihar year 2026–27 has begun at all three of our facilities in the DFW Metroplex — Saaket, Chitrakoot and Frisco. Friday sessions began 7 August and Sunday sessions began 9 August. A warm welcome to all our new and returning children and parents, and to our Coordinators, Teachers and Volunteers.

Open House — this weekend is the last one

Our second and final Open House weekend is Friday 14 and Sunday 16 August. During Open House we welcome prospective members and their children to attend and check out Bala Vihar and cultural classes, without being members. Please share this with friends in the D/FW community — this is the last weekend to visit without registering.

Questions about our programs? Contact our membership support team at membership@cmdfw.org.

Registration is still open

We have open slots at many sessions across CMDFW. If family or friends are interested in registering their children for Bala Vihar, they can do so at membership.cmdfw.org. Please read the FAQ / How to Register document before you begin.

For registration issues, email membership@cmdfw.org.

Cultural classes have started

Alongside Bala Vihar — our core program — we offer Gita Chanting, Shlokathon and language classes. Language offerings vary by center.

Cultural classes have now begun. Students must register online for these classes, including those with no fee. Please contact your BVC for directions to the relevant classrooms.

Volunteers interested in serving with cultural classes may contact their BVC.

Class materials

Bala Vihar textbooks, folders and other class materials will be distributed to children from next week onwards.

House rules and parking

Please read and follow the house rules and temple guidelines in the Bala Vihar folder and handbook. A few reminders:

  • At least one parent must accompany their child into the facility — please park and walk in rather than dropping off at the front.
  • Please arrive 10–15 minutes early.
  • For 2nd grade and below, a parent must pick up their child from the classroom.
  • No outside food inside CM facilities.
  • Saaket parking: use the CM lot or Davenport Road (either direction). Not Stedman, Nutwood, or fire lanes.
  • Frisco parking: use the elementary school lot across the street, not the church side.
