Within every family, there are those who voluntarily take on the responsibility of creating a sustainable, nurturing environment for the well-being of the whole household. Chinmaya Parivar embodies this very spirit within the Chinmaya Mission family.
Chinmaya Parivar is a group of committed members of Chinmaya Mission DFW who share a common vision: to ensure that the nurturing environment and spiritual foundation we have built continues to thrive — not only for ourselves, but for our children’s children.
Why become a Chinmaya Parivar member?
Our goal is to support and sustain CMDFW’s operations and growth in a responsible, community-driven way. By becoming a Chinmaya Parivar member, you help secure the long-term sustainability of our mission center.
Beyond supporting CMDFW’s continued service to the community, Parivar membership offers a meaningful way to stay actively involved:
- Stay connected to the community throughout the year
- Engage with other Parivar members at festivals, spiritual activities, and special gatherings
- Stay informed about poojas, events, and CMDFW activities all year round
We are also planning to expand activities and offerings for this group in our new facility, providing more ways to participate, serve, and grow spiritually within the CMDFW family.
Maintaining our facilities to meet the needs of a growing congregation is a costly endeavor. While the Mission operates almost entirely through dedicated volunteers, Bala Vihar fees alone do not cover our annual operating expenses — Parivar membership helps bridge that gap.
Membership benefits
For parents with children in Bala Vihar
- Free admission to Bala Vihar and all cultural classes, including:
- Gita Chanting (includes competition fees and Shlokathon)
- Swaranjali and language classes
- Free participation in Bala Vihar lock-ins and hangouts
- Free Holi Walkathon registration (excludes t-shirt)
- Free Tapovan Prasad subscription
- Free entry to Raas Garba
- 20% discount on retreats (e.g., Labor Day Retreat, YEP, JCHYK)
- Priority access to Arati during Samashti Poojas (Lakshmi Pooja during Deepavali & Maha Shivaratri)
- Invitation to special Parivar events (meetings with visiting Swamijis, poojas, quarterly satsang, town halls, and more)
For adults or parents without children in Bala Vihar
- Free Holi Walkathon registration (excludes t-shirt)
- Free Tapovan Prasad subscription
- Priority access to Arati during Samashti Poojas (Lakshmi Pooja during Deepavali & Maha Shivaratri)
- Invitation to special Parivar events (meetings with visiting Swamijis, poojas, quarterly satsang, town halls, and more)
- Opportunities to connect and engage with other Parivar members
- Regular awareness of poojas and activities planned throughout the year
- Expanded programming planned specifically for this group in the new CMDFW facility
Membership contribution
Payment options:
- One-time payment of $1,200
- Two installments of $600 each
- Monthly auto-draft of $100 (12 installments)
Exception: If a member has donated more than $1,200 in a year, Parivar membership is awarded.
Membership term
Early enrollment — If you enroll before August, the fee is prorated through the start of the upcoming school year.
Renewal reminders — We’ll establish a process to remind adult members and parents without children in Bala Vihar about upcoming renewals, ensuring continued participation year after year.
