A Summer Residential Arts Camp
at Chinmaya Mangalam (10470 FM744, Barry, TX 75102)
July 8-14, 2018
A week-long residential arts camp will be hel at the serene and beautiful Chinmaya Mangalam campus. Classes will be conducted in classical music and bharatanatyam dance. This is a thematic camp, based on Lord Krishna, entitled “Glory of Brindavan”. Participants will be immersed in daily classes, practices, satsangs and lecture demonstrations, which will culminate in a final performance at the end of the camp.
Arts disciplines covered include: Classical Carnatic violin, Carnatic vocal, Mridangam, Bhajans, and Bharatanatyam. Special satsangs will also be led daily by Swami Sarveshanandaji, CHYK Director.
Age
- The minimum age for the participant is 14 years old (8th grade). There is no maximum age restriction.

Application Process
- Fill out the personal details in the form
- Choose ONE discipline
- Selection is based on “audition” and the decision is made by the respective faculty member
- Carnatic Vocal, bhajans & mridangam samples are to be sent as a link to soundcloud or YouTube Video.
- Bharatanatyam samples to be sent as YouTube Video link.

Dates
- Deadline to Apply for Camp via cmdfw website: May 15, 2018
- Deadline to submit material for audition via email: May 15, 2018
- Selected participants will be notified by email: June 1, 2018
- Camp Fees due by June 5, 2018, failing which, the spot will be given to others on the waiting list
